Sasha Crichton shares her story
THE WILL FOR GOOD
“Since the day I was born, I have been driven towards positive change. And to understand who we are and why we do what we do.
In part, this is due to having been raised by an Irish mother, who by the age of 17, had lost both her parents and emigrated from Ireland to Australia.
While raising two daughters, my mother trained and worked as a Women’s Health Counsellor. From a young age, I was exposed to a will to do good—and to psychological/wellbeing literature and mindset training.
Although I was raised on the Central Coast of Australia, my Celtic heritage was a big influence. Mum would share stories about our family, including her grandfather, a celebrated Irish reformer; Lieutenant Councillor Richard O’Carroll, who dedicated himself to supporting children’s rights and the cultural independence of Ireland.
THE IMPACT OF EARLY YEARS
Another impactful experience was being born with a hearing impairment that was identified and repaired at the age of four.
By the age of four, while other children share their thoughts and feelings, and tell stories, I was only learning to find my voice.
These early years set the course of my life, prompting a deep curiosity for all things related to communication, creativity and mysticism.
Academic and life learnings
At the age of 21 I reconnected with my Celtic roots living in Ireland, Scotland and England, returning to Australia eight years later.
I have invested over seven years into the academic world exploring human behaviour, the mind, communications, cultures, myth making, and creativity. But it wasn’t until I stumbled across Life Coaching and Self Directed Healing, that I found the key that radically improved all areas of my life.
We all have a story. Many of us have acquired or inherited limitations (biologically, socially or culturally)—these manifest as self limiting mind-sets and behaviours. These layers of our selves need shifting to uncover our most authentic self, the version of ourselves that is confidently living our own truth.
We all need to find the right fit of support to move forward. Today, I am grateful to share practical tools, insights and resources to support people to lean into success in a way that is authentically true to them.
